Virginia Notary Stamps Seals and Embossers

Near the notary’s official signature on the notarial certificate of a paper document the notary shall affix a sharp legible permanent and photographically reproducible image of the official seal. The seal must include the following: name of the notary exactly as on commission the phrases “Notary Public” and “Commonwealth of Virginia” notary registration number and the phrase “My commission expires [date of expiration].” Source: Va.
